Research Areas

My research spans across Microwave Remote Sensing, Digital Image Processing, and Speech Processing. In remote sensing, I specialize in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Polarimetric SAR (PolSAR), focusing on polarimetric image analysis, multi-frequency SAR studies, and the use of machine learning and deep learning for land cover classification, environmental monitoring, and disaster management. I am particularly interested in AI-driven approaches for crop monitoring, urban growth assessment, and flood mapping.Beyond remote sensing, I have worked in Digital Image Processing and Speech Processing, where I explored techniques for pattern recognition, feature extraction, and signal analysis. These complementary areas strengthen my interdisciplinary approach to solving problems in geospatial science and computational intelligence.I am also passionate about teaching and outreach, simplifying complex SAR/PolSAR concepts to make advanced radar remote sensing and signal processing accessible to students, researchers, and developers.
